Future YOU: bringing together community, mentoring, coaching and masterclasses for girls 14-16 years old. 

What is involved:

6 months of weekly session from October 10th on Monday evenings. 

3 further months (May, June and July) of monthly check in coaching/mentoring sessions with Emma Clift.

Weekly sessions held on Mondays either at 7.15pm or 8pm.

Book/Film/Music Club 7.15-8pm (all girls)
Week 4
Coaching/Mentoring with Emma Clift 8-8.45pm (14-16 year olds only)

What do you need to do to be part of this Future YOU project to create and support HOW Teen Mentors?

- Join the Future YOU programme (this is required to become an official HOW Teen mentor)
- Be open and excited about the possibilities and potential that is ahead of you! 
- Want to be there! There is no point this being another thing that your parents want you to do. This is about YOU and your future, and we can help you create that and support you in this journey a little further.
- This will be brilliant for your CV in the future providing that you attend enough sessions over the 6 months!

During the masterclasses over the 6 months we will cover topics such as:

- your mindset for exams and your future
- goal setting in the short, medium and long term
- how to connect and communicate with adults outside of your family and school
- how to mentor and support your peers and younger teens 
- the hows and the whys around volunteering
- getting your first job
- doing something new and how to show up
- interview techniques
- thinking about your CV and work experience
- some 'adulting' basics to grow your independence including finances, banking and saving
- you will get a certificate to say you are officially a HOW Teen Mentor and have completed this Future YOU course
- if you have stuck to your end of the bargain over the 6 months and have helped, attended and been your amazing selves then we will write a reference for you for your future personal statements
- there is always the offer of further mentoring, coaching and 1:1 work outside of this course with Dr Jo and Emma Clift

*Week 2 will normally be the Masterclass at 8pm unless a swap stated below for holidays
** There is some flexibility around the timing of the Future YOU Coaching and Mentoring call (Week 4) between 7.15 and 8pm

We need a minimum of 12 girls to make this project viable and there is a maximum of 24 spaces for this programme. Please suggest it to any friends, friends of friends, or relatives who you think would enjoy being a part of it.
